Ruma Kareem K. Ajeena. She has completed her Ph.D in Elliptic Curve Cryptography (ECC) at Mathematical Sciences School, Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM), Penang, Malaysia in 2015.
She received the M.Sc. degree in Cryptography and number theory from Babylon University, Iraq in 2006. In 2006-2011, she has worked as a lecturer to teach Partial Differential Equations for graduate at Mathematics Department, Education college, Babylon university and she was supervised on several projects of graduate students. Also, she occupied the post of assistant of the head in mathematics department during that period and she was a member in some committees.
Ruma has completed her B.Sc. at Mathematical Dept., Education College, Babylon University, Iraq in 1995- 1999. And Diploma, Mathematics and Sciences from Teachers Institute in 1990-1995. she obtained a Malaysian Language in 100KL Level, at School of Languages, Literacies and Translation, Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM), 2012. She obtained an English Language in Intensive English Levels, at School of Languages, Literacies and Translation, USM, January 3rd, 2011-June 3rd, 2011.
During her Ph.D study, She obtained an appointment as Graduate Research Assistant (GRA) in the School of Mathematical Sciences, USM from 2013 until 2015.
In the current time , specifically in 2015-2016, she worked as a mentor and an instructor to teach (Abstract Algebra, Ring Theory) for graduate students and to teach (Number theory and Elliptic Curve Cryptography and Algebraic Number Theory) of postgraduate students at Mathematics Dept. Also, Ruma was a supervisor of research projects and research works as the dissertations for graduate and postgraduate students respectively. She is responsible member of the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) at Mathematics Dept., Education College for Pure Sciences, Babylon University, 2016- 2017. Also, she is chairman of the seminar committees, a penal member of the Viva Committee for postgraduate students and member for the linguistic evaluation of the dissertations for postgraduate students.
Her research interests are in the areas of Pure and Applied Mathematics, Linear Algebra, Abstract Algebra (Group, Ring and Field Theory), Partial Differential Equations, Mathematical Analysis, Elliptic Curve Theory, Numerical Algorithms, Applied Euclidean Geometry, Applied Algebraic Geometry, Algebraic Number Theory, Information Technology, Coding Theory, Number Theory, Parallel Processing, Computational Complexity, Cryptography (Elliptic Curve Cryptography (ECC), especially Scalar multiplication on elliptic curve over finite fields, public key cryptography (PKC), Security.
She has presented her research findings in many international conferences which are indexed ISI, Scopus and AIP proceeding in Asia and Europe. She has published many research articles in ISI and Scopus international journals of cryptology research, Mathematical Sciences journals and Pure and Applied Mathematics. She has got many certificates of thanking and appreciation for participating in the seminars, workshops, valuable contributions towards the Community Engagement Programme, USM, Malaysia , participation in the 3rd and 4th cultural weeks, Babylon University and many others.
Furthermore, her programming skills are Matlab, Mathematica, Sage Softwares, Advanced MS Word and MS Excel and Typesetting system, Latex and others. She is a member of editorial board at journal of mathematics and informatics (JMI), house of scientific research, China 2012-until now, editor board member at journal of control science and engineering, David publishing company, New York, USA, 2015-2016 and a member of natural sciences publishing (NSP), USA, 2015-2017.
Ruma has got 3 and 7 of the Certification of Appreciation from the Chair of University of Babylon and Dean of Education College for Pure Sciences respectively. Also, she has got the Certi?cation of Appreciation and recognition of my valuable contribution to- wards the Community Engagement Programme - USM -Malaysia held on May 6th, 2011.
